Breathe in the ocean
This abstract watercolor collection is inspired by the colors and feelings of the Oregon coast - sunsets and grassy dunes, the rolling sea, washed-out skies and Juniper trees, glimmers of silver in the sand.
Breathing in the cool ocean air while the wind whips my hair around my face. The crunch of the sand under my shoes. Feeling grounded and calm. Exploring tide pools and cliffs, marveling at the nature around me.
The wide expanse of sky and sea, and how freeing it feels to be at the edge of both.
It has been a labor of love and frustration and learning to create these pieces, from mixing my colors and getting the paint consistency right, to knowing when to call a piece “done”.
